What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy is a science and person-driven therapy that focuses on increasing independence with daily tasks.
Occupational therapy can address any deficit that affects your ability to complete a meaningful activity. For example, if you are having arm weakness after a stroke, an occupational therapist can help increase strength and range of motion as well as suggest strategies to use your arm as effectively as possible right now.

If you are struggling with maintaining balance during your daily activities, an occupational therapist can work to improve stability and modify your environment or tasks to make you safer and more independent at home or work. Occupational therapists can also address cognitive, visual, and mental health issues that affect your day-to-day independence.
Who Are We?
We are a team of occupational therapists driven to provide a different kind of neurological rehabilitation. We provide outpatient services to address all aspects of life: the body, the mind, and your environment. We believe life happens outside the clinic, and work hard to get clients back to doing what they love most. Our team is well-versed in the treatment of many neurological conditions including, cerebral vascular accidents (CVA/stroke), spinal cord injury, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, MS, and many other diagnoses. As Occupational Therapists with experience in a variety of settings, we recognized a need for superior subacute rehabilitation in the Huntsville area and Magnolia Neuro Rehab was born from a desire to fill that need. Our team provides private, one-on-one, and individualized care that is meant to meet your goals.

What to Expect?
Our clinic is designed to provide traditional “gym style” therapy alongside a home-like setting to provide an opportunity to practice everyday tasks in a controlled environment. Our gym is equipped with specialized tools to promote increased neurological function such as electrical stimulation, balance equipment, visual training area and a fully functional ADL Lab.
Expect to spend a full hour of neuro therapy in a one-on-one session with your therapist. We believe goals can be met more quickly through this approach, and work to omit “fluff” treatments that don’t progress you towards your goals. Prior to your first session, one of our therapists will walk you through an evaluation, where we can learn more about your challenges get accurate measurements and set up your specific goals for therapy.
We are looking forward to serving Greater Huntsville and can’t wait to help you accomplish your goals.
