Lewis and Son Roofing and Construction dates’ way back to 1956. It is a family-owned business that has been passed down for generations in the Lewis Family. Shane Lewis, the current owner/operator, says this is what he was born to do. Roofing and construction are all he has ever known. He remembers being a little boy going to work sites with his dad, J.L. Lewis, and imagining that one day he would be going to work sites with his kids too. Shane did just that! Shane’s oldest son currently works as a project assistant and if you were to stop by our office you may even hear the giggle and see the smile of his 3-year-old grandson.   

Times are changing and so are we. With the Huntsville housing market on the up and up, we had to do more! The company came to realize we had so many unused resources that we needed to expand our scope of business to better serve our customers. We went from roofing only to specializing in all aspects of construction. There is not any job too big or too small for us. Residential and Commercial roofing will always be our specialty, but we are so excited to offer our customers a little bit more. 

Over the last few years, Lewis and Son have obtained a General Contractors license that gives us that opportunity. Renovations, additions, detached garages, siding, windows and Trex decking are a very narrow view of what we can now do for you! We are pleased to serve the homeowner. Lewis and Son decided during the process of becoming a General Contractor that we wanted to help those of you already in homes. We did not want to contract with builders. New construction was not for us.

Lewis and Son is blessed to serve North Alabama and Southern Tennessee for the last 60+ years. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and making you feel like one of the family.
