Mercedes-Benz is introducing a completely redesigned seventh generation S-Class model for 2021. Its new revolutionary design has magnificent details like flush pop-out door handles. The new OLED center touch screen and digital cluster have 3D functionality and the displays advanced augmented reality navigation system takes your breath away.

Engine
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz S 500 will offer a version of the mild hybrid 3.0-liter turbo inline-six currently offered in the E-, CLS-, GLE-, and GLS-Class, with 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. Above the S 500 is the S 580, which uses a mild hybrid 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 that’s good for 496 hp and 516 lb-ft.
Mercedes-Benz will offer a plug-in hybrid S560e combining its inline-six with an electric motor for close to 500 hp and up to 60 miles of electric range, but a fully-electric powertrain is being saved for a model inspired by the EQS concept. All 2021 S-Class models have a nine-speed automatic and 4Matic all-wheel drive.
Safety
The new S-Class comes complete with Mercedes-Benz’s full suite of driver-assist active safety content. That means stop-and-go adaptive cruise control with active lane centering, lane change assist, automatic emergency braking, active parking assist, and just about every other feature you can think of.

Technology
The whole point of this incredible technology is to improve the owners’/drivers experience. The recommendation is that anyone who is going to drive the vehicle creates a profile that will load their preferences. It can be activated by a fingerprint swipe, facial recognition, voice recognition, or a PIN.
It’s all handled through the 12.8 inch OLED screen. Since most buttons and knobs have been eliminated and drastically reduced most everything is handled by the OLED screen using touch settings. The steering wheel controls are touch sensitive and recognize swipes as do the power seat controls on the doors.
How Does It Drive?
It’s an S-Class so of course it drives great. The semi autonomous driving, steering, lane changing and parking are a perfect balance to the most comfortable ride quality available today. This is a car that gives drivers mechanical precision and luxury that is unmatched along with a look into the technological future.
