A totally redesigned vehicle always makes people curious (really curious in this case). The completely redesigned Mercedes Benz 2022 C-Class is all new from the front to the back and does it ever perform.
Looks and Powertrain
The new C-Class is longer, lower and wider that the previous C-Class, and since its wheelbase is wider there is even more room for the rear passengers, The headlights are LED of course and with the larger grille the C-Class is very elegant.
The Powertrain is a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine with EQ Boost. Together that provides 255 horsepower. The nine speed automatic routes power to either the rear wheels or in the 4Matic model to all four wheels.
Technology and Safety
Once inside the new C-Class there is a new 11.9 inch infotainment display that dominates. The screen controls most of the vehicles functions and is the main interface with the MBUX 2 infotainment system.
In front of the driver sits a 12.3 inch digital cluster that is totally customizable to show whatever information the driver would like in the Classic, Sporty and Essential Modes.
The new C-Class has a fingerprint scanner that allows users to log in to MBUX so they can access their preferences and settings. It even provides over the air updates to the latest software versions.
As with all Mercedes, the new C-Class has legendary driver assist and safety features. The Distronic cruise control adds the ability to react to a stationary vehicle at speeds up to 62 MPH. It’s active steering helps keep the car in lane and has a 360 degree camera system to detect additional lanes. There is an optional Driver Assist Package that includes a Pre-Safe Impulse Side. This feature inflates the seat bolsters in order to push the driver or passenger away from the door in the event of a potential side collision.
Simply stated the all new 2022 Mercedes Benz C-Class is a winner.
