IMP Huntsville and Huntsville Arts Week

By Susan Stricklin- IMP Huntsville

IMPHuntsville is delighted to join ArtsHuntsville in celebrating Huntsville Arts Week, October 17-25.  Our contribution will be IMP Huntsville’s Villains of Broadway on October 18. Parking begins at 6:00 with performance at 7:00.

What is more appropriate in the pre-Halloween season than a stage full of Broadway’s most interesting villains? IMPHuntsville presents a cavalcade of musical theatre bad guys (and girls) whom we simply love to hate! Presented at the IMPHuntsville Studio parking lot, located at 520 Green Cove Road SE, Huntsville, AL.

Here are the ways you can enjoy our cabaret:

·         Stay in your car and listen through FM channel on your radio,

·         Bring your chairs and sit in front of your car in the space provided.

·         Park your car, grab those chairs and enjoy the designated sitting area where masks are requested.

In fact any time you are out of your car masking is requested. In seating area please keep your group socially distanced. Let’s stay safe so that we can continue this rare live musical opportunity.

What’s Popp’N’s food truck will be there selling popcorn, lemonade, and other delicious snacks for your enjoyment.

IMPHuntsville will continue presenting cabarets in November and December, weather permitting. While the theme for November is still in development, our very popular annual Jolly Holiday will return this year in December.

We are excited to hear about the Moon Center updates at the old Grissom location and have met with architects about designing the space to be of best use for the community. It is coming in the near future but the theater is still a year or two away.

IMPHuntsville looks forward to having a new home at the Moon Center. As to future full productions, we are dedicated to having safe audiences and safe environments for our casts and crews so full production return is still unknown.

Your arts community is struggling to say the least.  Please consider a donation to your favorite arts group.  Believe me, they all could use some help right now and IMPHuntsville is no exception.
